Interlude[]
A spaceship lands on a large sand dune. The lands of Tatooine are vast, dry, and desolate. Tatooine is filled with a lot of sand and rocks, and barely any water. Despite the lack of resources, though, people have managed to survive. Once the spaceship has docked down, a woman in a powersuit walks out. Samus steps onto the sand and looks across the desolate desert. The sands of Tatooine go on for miles and miles, but what Samus is looking for is a city closeby. It doesn't take her long to spot it: the spaceport of Mos Eisley. She's here on a mission... a bounty... to capture or kill a rogue bounty hunter. As she was told by her client, the original bounty hunter did his job well, until he grew fond of the bounty and took them with him. Now, her client has narrowed down his location to this city in Tatooine, and Samus is here to finish the job.
Just as she's about to go, she hears a small chirp from behind. Looking back, she sees the Baby Metroid floating near her. Samus takes a second to pet it before she walks toward the city, the Metroid following closely behind. She walks into the desert city and passes by creatures of all different races—creatures she's never seen before. She passes by stalls and children playing in the streets. As she's walking, she barely glimpses an armored figure ducking into an alleyway. What's notable about them, though, is that they have what seems to be a small floating carrier floating behind them. Samus notices that a small, green alien is inside of the hovering pram. She remembers the description of who she was looking for: an armored Mandalorian with a green alien floating behind him. Samus quickly realizes that he was the person she is looking for. She and the Baby Metroid quickly hurry up to the alleyway and dash through.
The Mandalorian hastily swerves through the alleys of Mos Eisley. His trusty companion, Grogu, floats alongside in his carrier. He's trying to get away from the bounty hunter he saw earlier. As he runs through the city, he can hear faint footsteps following behind him. He knows that the hunter is following him, so he tries swerving through crowds, stalls, and narrow alleyways to make Samus lose track of him. Samus Aran, though, matches Mando's movements exactly, and follows a few meters behind. After some time, Din Djarin finds himself in a long, roofed alleyway with no exits to the sides. What's worse, there's nothing at the end. He's found himself in a dead-end. Knowing that the only option is to fight his way out, he grabs Grogu and hides him inside a nearby box.
The Mandalorian: Be quiet in there. Don't get out. I'll get you out soon.
Closing the lid of the box, the Mandalorian turns back and stares directly at Samus, who's managed to catch up. She aims her arm cannon at the Mandalorian, and the Baby Metroid peeps aggressively at him. In response, Mando quickly whips out his blaster and aims it at her. Neither bounty hunter speaks as they stare straight at each other. Suddenly, and without warning, they start blasting.
Fight![]

Their attacks collide with each other in sparks of energy as both bounty hunters fire. Samus rolls under one blast before running up to the Mandalorian while firing shots. Mando crouches to the ground and returns fire, blocking the blasts with his own lasers. Samus manages to reach him, though, and thrusts her arm cannon into his chest. She then twirls around and kicks him in the gut before chopping with her left hand; Din catches it with his blaster hand and punches her in the face. He then grabs Samus’s non-arm-cannon-arm and pushes her to the side wall. Mando aims his blaster to her head and presses the trigger, but Samus pulls herself down and dodges the close-up hit. She then pushes him back and attacks with a chop. Mando blocks the attack, though, and both fighters engage in hand-to-hand combat for a second, with neither landing a hit on each other. Mando thrusts his palm into Samus’s helmet, causing her to lose focus for a second. Taking advantage of this, Din Djarin hops back and kicks off the wall, grabbing Samus by the throat and slamming her into the ground with a neck breaker.

He rolls to the side and, in a split second, gets up and fires his blaster at Samus. The bounty hunter dodges with a roll and fires several homing missiles at Mando. The Mandalorian steps back and unleashes his wrist flamethrower, blowing the rockets up mid-air, while also directly attacking Samus. To dodge the fire, Samus Screw Attacks into the air and fires a beam of ice down at Mando. The Mandalorian dodges the blast, which causes a patch of the ground to freeze over, and he whips out his Amban sniper rifle. He fires a shot at Samus, who rolls below it, before Mando electrifies the tip of his gun and jabs it at Aran. The Metroid Hunter clashes the rifle with her arm cannon, causing a blast of energy to erupt from the impact as the bounty hunters struggle for control. After a little bit, though, the Mandalorian fires his rifle straight into the arm cannon, causing an explosion of energy that sends Samus tumbling back. She places her hand on a crate to steady herself, but Din quickly thrusts his rifle into her helmet, knocking her to the floor. After falling, she aims her arm cannon at Mando, but he fires a whipcord at her arm and pins it to the ground. Tightly gripping the cord with one hand, Mando aims his laser rifle at Samus’s face. Just as he’s about to fire, though, the Baby Metroid suddenly latches itself onto Mando’s helmet from behind. He cries out in surprise and he steps back, trying to claw the Metroid off of him. This gives Samus the time needed to get back up, and she aims her arm cannon at the Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian tears the Baby Metroid off of him just as Samus fires a blast into his stomach, sending him tumbling to the floor. Samus then uses her Grapple Beam to grab a pretty heavy looking box and hurl it at Mando. The bounty hunter quickly rolls back, dodging the crate which shatters on the ground. Right after, though, Samus rushes in and attacks with an axe kick. The Mandalorian dodges and tries to use his flamethrower again, but Samus interrupts it with her left palm before turning around and elbowing him in the chest. She then attempts an overhead attack with her arm cannon, but the Mandalorian blocks it with his rifle before whipping out his vibro-knife and stabbing it into her chest. The blade stabs partially through Samus’s armor and Mando slashes it across, creating a noticeable cut in her suit. He then seamlessly unequips his rifle and switches knife hands before going for Samus’s helmet. The bounty hunter, though, blocks it with her hand, causing it to stab into her palm, but managing to protect her face. Crouching down quickly, Mando then sends several punches into Samus Aran’s stomach, knocking her back before she hits her back on the wall. The Mandalorian then reaches for the knife that’s still in Samus’s hand, painfully prying it out before swinging it at her head. Samus, though, catches Mando’s wrist with her injured hand and musters up her hand’s remaining strength to keep it away.

As both bounty hunters fight for control, the Baby Metroid rushes in from the side, ready to help protect its surrogate mother again. However, Mando simply fires at it with his blaster, causing it to crash into the ground. Terrified for the Metroid’s safety, Samus quickly takes the upperhand, headbutting Din Djarin in the helmet. She then swings her arm cannon horizontally to knock Mando to the side before firing two blasts at him. The Mandalorian manages to tank through one hit with his armor, but the other hits and launches him into a wall. As he slumps down, Samus begins charging at him, before she thrusts her palm at his throat and pins him to the wall. Mando grabs her arm to attempt to pry it off, while landing a few knees to her gut, but Samus powers through and deals several hits straight to the face with her arm cannon. The bombardment of attacks to the face causes him to lose consciousness for a second, allowing Samus to reel her arm cannon back and charge it up. With one powerful swing upward, she slams her cannon straight into Mando’s helmet, causing it to careen off his head and into the air. The helmet drops to the ground, and the Mandalorian takes a second to realize what just happened. Acting quickly, Samus charges her arm cannon for one final blow. However, just as she’s about to fire, she’s suddenly stopped in place, unable to move. She begins to float mid-air, with her arm cannon unmoving and her legs flailing. The Mandalorian quickly looks to the side and sees Grogu hanging on the side of the crate, using the Force to incapacitate Samus and save his adoptive father’s life.

The force (hehe) of using the Force takes a toll on Grogu quickly, though, but the Mandalorian quickly acts before the Child runs out of energy. He kicks Samus back just as Grogu exhausts his energy and passes out. Mando then crouches down and equips his disintegration rifle again, firing several blasts at Samus. The bounty hunter dodges a shot and lunges forward, morphing into her morphball to easily avoid the attacks. She rolls underneath Mando and plants a bomb underneath his legs. However, the Mandalorian is very quick to react. He kicks the bomb into the air and knocks it toward Samus, who takes the full brunt of the explosion, also knocking Mando to the floor. He quickly scrambles to his feet and grabs the passed-out Grogu, before running away with him in his arms. However, a plasma whip suddenly latches onto his ankle. The whip causes him to trip on the ground, also making him lose his hold on the Child, who drops to the floor. He looks back and sees Samus Aran out of her armor, wearing her Zero Suit. Mando fires a shot at Samus, but she dodges and fires her own, tasing him for a second. She then rushes up to him and fires her blaster at his face, but Mando manages to roll back and dodge the attack. Jumping back, he fires several shots from his rifle, but Samus nimbly dodges them before hopping to the side and kicking off of it. She performs a mid-air front-flip and axe-kicks Mando in the back of the head. He doubles over and Samus lands two quick kicks to his stomach, launching him back and making him drop his rifle.

The Mandalorian flips mid-air and lands on his feet. Samus begins charging at him full speed, with her blaster switched into what seems like a lightsaber. Acting accordingly, Mando whips out his Darksaber and readies himself. Once Samus reaches the Mandalorian, they begin their duel of sabers. Samus sends several quick and powerful slashes from her lightsaber, but Mando holds his ground and blocks them all. Clashing blades with Mando, Samus proceeds to flip over him while still touching sabers and lands on the ground. She kicks him back before swinging her lightsaber at Mando’s armor. She lands several hits on the bounty hunter, but Mando blocks them with both his saber and his free hand, his Beskar armor holding up to the attacks. He then throws a punch at Aran’s face, but she ducks underneath and rolls through his legs, cutting at his ankle. The armor tanks through the cut, but he still drops to one knee. Samus stands upright and raises her lightsaber up, swinging it at the Darksaber and flicking it out of his hands. She then slashes at his face, but Mando manages to roll back. He then gets up and takes out his Beskar spear. He rushes up to Samus and both fighters clash once more, though Mando manages to take the lead, landing a few hits on the bounty Hunter. As he goes in for a stab to Samus’s heart, though, Samus ducks underneath and kicks it back. Still holding on to the spear, the Mandalorian steps back before rushing back in, but Samus flips over the attack and kicks him in the face.

Once Mando hits the floor, Samus thrusts her lightsaber at him, but he blocks it with his spear.

Samus sends several quick cuts to the spear, and Mando manages to stay on the defensive. However, his hope quickly fades when Samus manages to hit it out of his hands,

Still not ready to go down, Mando aims his wrist cannon at Samus, but she pins it to the ground with her foot before lunging in and attacking the only part of Mando uncovered by Beskar: his face
KO!!!
The Mandalorian goes limp on the ground. Samus takes the lightsaber out and looks at the body. She then turns back and rushes to the Baby Metroid, who’s lying on the ground. Running up to it, she inspects the Metroid. It’s still alive, though just barely. The Baby gives out a small chirp, before going completely silent. Samus hangs her head down for a few seconds.
Suddenly, she hears a sound in front of her. Rising back up, she points her blaster at it. Grogu, the target she was after, stands right next to her. He looks thoughtfully into Samus’s eyes and extends his arm out to her. After staring in silence, she looks back at the Mandalorian’s body.
After a little bit, Samus is seen walking out of the alleyway, carrying the Baby Metroid’s body, and with Grogu silently following behind. The Mandalorian’s body is also seen, with his helmet now back on his head.
